“Last year in Poland, more than 1.7 million documents were issued that allow Ukrainians temporary employment in the territory of the Republic of Poland. Together with those people who work illegally – about 2 million Ukrainians who work in Poland.” This fact itself has generated an urgent need for cheap temporary accommodation for Ukrainian immigrants. A significant number of them work in the building industry. The client with a budget of 25k$ asked me to design a house that could accommodate up to 4 people on up to 35m2 gross floor area (that area does not require a building permission according to the Polish building legislation). My approach was to create a space of high standard and ergonomics using cheapest materials available on the market.
