The village of Pogorzelice in northern Poland is located in the heart of the ethnic region of Kashubia characterized by its unique language, traditions and craft. The natural conditions of the site are quite utopian – meadows, river, forest, wildlife… It is located a five minutes drive from a 40 000 people town and a five minutes walk from a 1000 people village. The client requested a small house that can accommodate up to four people. It is supposed to celebrate the views, the local resources and the warmth of fire as an important part of co-living. The simple form of the building is inspired by a traditional Kashubian house with a double-pitched roof, a chimney and brick walls.
